It is believed that the fountain in Petar Ko\u010di\u0107 Park was built after World War II, as the park’s original appearance was significantly altered by wartime events and the post-war period. Located in the central part of the park, this fountain was one of the city’s symbols. Surrounded by greenery, old benches, and flowers, it was a popular meeting spot for citizens, as well as a playground for children \u2013 both around it and inside it on days when the fountain was not in operating mode.<\/p>\n
Due to new urban planning in the 2000s, specifically in 2006, the park underwent a major reconstruction, which essentially led to it being paved over. The old fountain was demolished, and it is believed that its parts ended up in the courtyard of a local tycoon in Banja Luka.<\/p>\n
After significant efforts and public insistence on restoring the fountain, its reconstruction took place in 2022. A replica was placed in Mladen Stojanovi\u0107 Park, with around 200,000 BAM allocated for its construction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
